About Me
I started my business in 2011 as a marketing assistant, in the last trimester of my pregnancy, so I could stay home with my daughter.
As a neurodivergent person working outside the home had always been hard for me and I didn’t want to be away from my daughter. I wanted to build a life where I had freedom and I could work from anywhere. I also wanted to choose who I worked with instead of working for companies that didn’t value their customers and manipulated them into buying their products or services.
You probably started your business for similar reasons; so you could be free, so you could choose who you worked with and when. And that’s what I am here to help you do!
All of my custom Squarespace websites are backed with a business growth strategy and a solid marketing plan based on who you are and how you want to share your work with the world.

I’m a queer, neurodivergent creative and the designer behind Creative Kate Designs. I nerd out on fonts, color therapy and all things pink! I specialize in creating intentional, inclusive and growth-ready websites for service providers who are tired of wasting their weekends on their website and still getting nowhere.

How it started…
I designed my first website back in 2007 on a whim. I had a home organizing business at the time and the company I got my business cards from had setup one of the first ever website builders and so I decided why not? I immediately fell in love with the process. Sure, back then designing websites was clunky and most websites were quite horrible looking, but I knew somewhere deep inside that this is what I wanted to do. I absolutely loved every minute of it!
Fast forward to 2011 I started my own business for online marketing and virtual assistance really out of necessity. I was pregnant with my daughter at the time and I wanted to be able to stay home with her and still make a living. I learned all the in’s and out’s and do’s and don’ts of marketing and website design and how to help my clients show up online and get clients.
I understand the vulnerability that comes with putting your work online - trust me! My process is collaborative, supportive, and grounded, so you never feel rushed, talked over, or boxed into something that doesn’t fit.
